This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the rules applicable to cancellation, returns, refunds, replacements and related requests for food, grocery and e-commerce Orders placed through EasyDrop.

This Policy should be read together with the EasyDrop Terms & Conditions.

1. General Policy

EasyDrop aims to provide customers with a convenient and reliable ordering experience.

Refund, cancellation, return and replacement eligibility may vary depending on:

  • Whether the Order is food or a non-food product;
  • Product category;
  • Whether the product is perishable;
  • Order status;
  • Whether preparation or dispatch has started;
  • Merchant/restaurant policy;
  • Reason for cancellation or return; and
  • Applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to restrict any consumer rights available under applicable law.

2. Food Orders

Food Orders are generally prepared specifically after an Order is placed.

Therefore, once a restaurant or food Partner has accepted an Order and preparation has started, cancellation may not be permitted.

Customer Cancellation

Cancellation may be permitted before preparation begins, subject to the Order status shown on the Platform.

If cancellation is permitted, any applicable refund will be processed according to the applicable payment/refund method.

After preparation has started, the Customer may not be entitled to a refund merely because they changed their mind.

Food Quality or Incorrect Order

Customers should contact EasyDrop as soon as possible if:

  • The wrong food was delivered;
  • An item is missing;
  • The Order is materially different from what was ordered;
  • The food appears damaged or tampered with; or
  • There is another significant problem with the Order.

EasyDrop may request photographs, videos, Order details or other evidence before determining the appropriate resolution.

Depending on the circumstances, the resolution may include:

  • Replacement;
  • Partial refund;
  • Full refund;
  • Credit;
  • Other appropriate remedy.

3. Grocery and Perishable Products

Perishable items, including fresh food, groceries and other products with limited shelf life, may be subject to special cancellation and return restrictions.

Where an item is damaged, spoiled, incorrect or materially defective, Customers should report the issue promptly after delivery.

EasyDrop may investigate the complaint and may request supporting evidence.

4. E-Commerce Products

For non-food products, return, replacement and refund eligibility may depend on the product category, seller policy, warranty terms and applicable law.

Products that are eligible for return may be required to:

  • Be unused;
  • Remain in original condition;
  • Include original packaging;
  • Include accessories and manuals; and
  • Satisfy the applicable return period.

Certain products may not be eligible for return due to their nature, hygiene requirements, customisation, perishability, applicable law or seller policy.

The applicable return conditions should be displayed on the relevant product page wherever required.

5. Wrong, Damaged or Defective Products

If you receive:

  • A wrong product;
  • A missing product;
  • A damaged product;
  • A materially defective product; or
  • A product materially different from its advertised description,

please contact EasyDrop within the applicable reporting period.

We may request:

  • Order number;
  • Photographs;
  • Unboxing photographs/video;
  • Product packaging;
  • Product serial number, where applicable;
  • Description of the problem; and
  • Other reasonable evidence.

After verification, we may provide a replacement, refund or other remedy as appropriate.

6. Cancellation by EasyDrop or Seller

EasyDrop or the relevant Partner may cancel an Order because of:

  • Product unavailability;
  • Restaurant/merchant closure;
  • Inability to fulfil the Order;
  • Delivery-area restrictions;
  • Payment failure;
  • Technical problems;
  • Incorrect price or product information;
  • Suspected fraud or misuse;
  • Operational circumstances; or
  • Events outside reasonable control.

Where applicable, amounts paid for a cancelled Order will be refunded.

7. Cancellation Because of Delivery Failure

If an Order cannot be delivered because of circumstances attributable to the Customer, including:

  • Incorrect address;
  • Incorrect phone number;
  • Customer unavailable;
  • Customer refusing delivery without a qualifying reason; or
  • Failure to provide reasonable access to the delivery location,

the Order may be cancelled or returned.

Refund eligibility may depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

8. Refund Process

Once a refund is approved, EasyDrop will initiate the refund through the applicable payment method or another legally permissible method.

The time for the amount to appear in the Customer's account may depend on:

  • Payment provider;
  • Bank;
  • Card issuer;
  • UPI provider; or
  • Other financial institution.

EasyDrop is not responsible for delays caused solely by external payment providers, subject to applicable law.

9. Refund Amount

Depending on the circumstances, a refund may include:

  • Product/food price;
  • Applicable taxes; and/or
  • Eligible delivery or other charges.

Certain charges may not be refundable where permitted by applicable law and the circumstances of the cancellation.

Where only part of an Order is affected, EasyDrop may issue a partial refund.

10. Promotional Orders

Where a Customer uses a coupon, discount, cashback or promotional benefit, the refund calculation may take the applicable promotion into account.

A promotional benefit may not be reinstated after cancellation unless expressly permitted by the applicable promotion.

11. Cash on Delivery Orders

For COD Orders, where a refund is approved, EasyDrop may request bank account, UPI or other payment information necessary to process the refund.

EasyDrop will not request a Customer's password, PIN or OTP for processing a legitimate refund.

Customers should never share banking passwords, UPI PINs or payment authentication credentials with anyone claiming to be an EasyDrop representative.

12. Non-Delivery

If an Order is marked as delivered but was not received, the Customer should report the issue to EasyDrop as soon as possible.

EasyDrop may investigate delivery records, contact the Delivery Partner or Partner, and review relevant information before determining the appropriate resolution.

13. Abuse of Refund Policy

EasyDrop may investigate accounts that show repeated or suspicious refund, cancellation, return or replacement activity.

Where fraud, abuse or manipulation is reasonably suspected, EasyDrop may take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law and the Terms & Conditions.

14. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

Customers may contact EasyDrop through:

  • In-app support;
